Reasons of generating tinnitus can be very prosaic and simply cured (e.g.earwax), but tinnitus can be caused by many serious diseases either (e.g. High blood pressure, Multiple Sclerosis, Maniere Disease) and very hard to diagnose.
Diagnostic of tinnitus is a very complex proces. Extensive approach has the task of elimination of pathology e.g. inflammation or abnormal tissue growth and taking proper treatment. Deep and thorough medical history is the first stage of procedure. Second step is conducting necessary laryngological and audiological examination. Lots of patients with tinnitus can also have Hypoacusis (hearing loss). Sometimes additional laboratory examinations, radiological scanning or even neurological and psychiatrical consultations are needed.
