Acting in the selection and fitting of hearing aids, we saw a large group of patients qualifying simultaneously for hearing aids as well as noise generators. We have therefore taken actions leading to the development of knowledge in the genesis of occurrence, topodiagnostics and tinnitus rehabilitation depending on the place of origin. Currently, our unit's offer includes several methods of dealing with this problem. The most effective and the most studied is the so-called TRT therapy.
The creator of the method is Professor Paweł Jestreboff from the Polish origin, however, who runs and lives on a daily basis in the United States. The above-mentioned method showed an effectiveness of 80%. Specialists in our departments have been thoroughly trained (also in the aspect of practice) by a member of our team who has been interested in the topic for many years and has successfully completed training with the professor.
